Couple Retreats - Appreciative Inquiry Unlimited

FOCUS ON RELATIONSHIP... Living the Appreciative Life; Creating Appreciative Environments for Your Relationship...  A retreat for couples - two people in a committed relationship - who want to focus on what is exciting and meaningful in their life together.  This is a time to explore ways to live your life together in an Appreciative perspective and to create an image of your most desired future.

JOIN Ralph Kelly and Jane Magruder Watkins at MarshHaven, their retreat house on a coastal creek of Beaufort County, North Carolina. This is a time for reflection in a small gathering of couples focused on:

  • Connecting with the other couples on retreat to share their discoveries that might enrich your relationship

  • Finding the positive core of your relationship as a basis for creating your future

  • Explorations and conversations that emerge in the retreat.
  • Time for quiet, personal reflection, and restoration of self

  • Experiencing the delight of easy communication

  • Time together as a couple for deep dialogue and discovery

What Folk are Saying About Us...
“The AI process led us so gently and in such a relaxed way toward understanding and unity. Jane and Ralph created a space of pure generosity – it felt more like a vacation.  I especially liked results of the creative visioning.”

WE INVITE you to join us at MarshHaven to create a new and generative view of your future. Couples have used this time to renew and deepen their life together; to create plans for the future in their work; to plan for their "retirement;" and, to prepare for marriage.

Our Retreat House:

MarshHaven is located in Beaufort County, North Carolina. We have hosted several Appreciative Inquiry learning communities here – the AI Consulting Founder’s Alliance; the MarshHaven Institute; our Retreat for Couples; a writing retreat. MarshHaven has proven to be a tranquil place for creating community with time for learning, relaxing and exploring. The house sits on 4 ˝ acres of wooded marshland on the banks of a cove off large North Creek and open water. We have a pier with a screen house for sitting and sunning, canoes available for exploring and fishing the beautiful creek, and easy access to the outer banks and wonderful wildlife preserves.

“With a focus on what is working, we can expand our couple experience into gifts before not imaginable.  And… as we develop a statement of ourselves as a couple in current language, it will, in fact become reality.”

Lodging & Meals:

The house has 7 guest bedrooms: 3 bedrooms share 2 baths downstairs, and 4 bedrooms share 2 baths plus a large and bright sitting area upstairs. Each bedroom has a queen-sized or double bed. We can accommodate 7 couples with private rooms.

Meals are a community endeavor, with major preparation done prior to the retreat.   Particular food needs/ preferences are accommodated on request.

Other:

MarshHaven is tranquil. At best, cell phones receive very faint signals. We have multiple High-Speed DSL connections (wireless and plug-in) if you need email and Internet connections. The telephone line requires a phone card for long distance. The telephone number at MarshHaven is (252) 964-3072.

Dress is VERY informal! ANY QUESTIONS – PLEASE CALL RALPH KELLY AT (757) 259-9942 or email us.
